Theodore Ushev Exhibition Sneak Peek…

Theodore Ushev Exhibition at the Barbican, LIAF, London International Animation Festival 2011We’ve just been down to the Barbican and are very excited to report that some of  Theodore Ushev’s amazing images are now up on display in the cinema foyer (Barbican, Level 2), in advance of the Festival opening on Friday. We don’t want to spoil the surprise too much, so here’s a ‘sneak peak’ image and for the curious you can always take a look at Theo’s website for a closer glance.
It’s a real honour to be able to present these wonderful, moving and heartfelt works this year, which are an extension of the images from Theo’s incredible film ‘Lipsett Diaries’ (screening in competition in International Programme 5). The time is fast drawing near for the eagerly awaited Theodore Ushev talk and screening ‘Lipsett Diaries: The incredible story of Theodore Ushev and Arthur Lipsett Q&A’ on 1st September at LIAF and this Exhibition leads in quite perfectly to the experience. Theo is adamant that he is not a commercial artist and his images will never be for sale, so we are feeling very fortunate to have his images on display for the duration of LIAF. Theo will be with us for a week at the Festival – he’s arriving on Friday for opening night – so do come down and say ‘Hello’. When he’s not in the cinema he’ll be happy to have a chat and drink at the bar, as of course, we all will.
